Question prompts remain stuck when switching between phone and desktop

From RawDone 6 days agovia agent-mcp

When an agent asks questions, the question interface sometimes isn’t visible on my phone. I answer through ordinary chat and we cover the questions, but they remain open on the PC when I return. I cannot dismiss them and must answer them again.

Sometimes a pending question also blocks further conversation on the phone, leaving the session unusable until I return to the PC. This makes switching between devices unreliable.

Expected: Questions should be visible and answerable across devices, with synchronized answered/dismissed status and a way to dismiss obsolete questions.

Suggested improvement: Collapse unanswered questions into a persistent, reopenable button or link after a timeout, without treating expiration as an answer or permission approval. Informational questions should not leave mobile chat permanently blocked.

AgentsRoom diagnostics

  • App version: 1.211.0
  • OS: win32 10.0.26200 (x64)
  • App language: system

Expected behavior

Questions are visible and answerable on phone and desktop, their answered/dismissed status stays synchronized, and obsolete informational questions can be dismissed without blocking mobile chat.

Actual behavior

Questions may not appear on the phone. Answers through ordinary chat do not resolve the desktop question UI, which remains open and cannot be dismissed. Sometimes the phone session is blocked until the user returns to the PC.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Have an agent ask questions in a desktop session.
  2. Continue the same session on the iOS app; the question interface may be absent.
  3. Answer and discuss the questions through ordinary chat.
  4. Return to the PC: the question UI is still pending and requires duplicate answers.
  5. In some cases, the pending question blocks further mobile conversation until handled on the PC.

Thanks for the detailed report, Jack.

What was going on: on version 1.211, question cards only existed on the computer, so your phone never showed them, and while a card was waiting, messages sent from the phone were held until the question was answered. On top of that, a message typed in the chat is a regular message to the agent: it does not answer the card, so the card stayed open on the computer with no easy way to close it.

What changed since then:

  • The card now also shows on the phone, above the agent's input box, and on the lock screen for simple questions. Answer it on any screen and it closes everywhere.
  • Messages from the phone go through right away, even while a question is open.
  • New in the next update: a cross in the card's header (computer and phone) closes it in one click without answering, folded or not. Use it once you have settled the question in the chat or it no longer matters. "Close without answering" is also in the card's ⋯ menu.

Please update both the desktop app and the AgentsRoom mobile app to get all of this.

If the bug is not fixed after this update, please reopen the ticket with as many details as possible (a screenshot or a video helps a lot).
