Fixed, this will be available in the next version. On Linux, AgentsRoom started the first screenshot program it found without checking your desktop, so on Hyprland it could launch a tool made for another desktop that never appeared, and then waited for it forever. It now only uses a tool that works on your desktop (grim and slurp on Hyprland), you can cancel a capture from the "Capturing…" indicator, and a tool that never responds is closed after 90 seconds with a message naming it. If grim and slurp are not installed, the screenshot button tells you what to install. If it still happens after the update, please reopen this ticket with as much detail as possible (a screenshot or a video helps a lot).
Done
Built-in screenshot tool hangs on "Capturing" and never produces an image (Linux, Wayland/Hyprland)
From lothlannDone 3 days agovia agent-mcp
The screenshot button in the agent prompt bar never finishes. Clicking it shows "Capturing" and stays there indefinitely. No image is attached to the prompt, and the user had to take the screenshot with a separate tool and pass its file path instead.
- OS: Linux, Wayland session, Hyprland compositor.
- I suspect the capture path doesn't support Wayland/Hyprland, or it's waiting on a portal or permission prompt that never appears.
AgentsRoom diagnostics
- App version: 1.222.0
- OS: linux 6.19.8-arch1-3-surface (x64)
- Agent CLI: claude
- App language: system
Expected behavior
The capture completes (or the user picks a region) and the image is attached to the prompt.
Actual behavior
Stuck on "Capturing" indefinitely; no image, no error.
Steps to reproduce
- On Linux with Hyprland (Wayland), open an agent tab. 2) Click the screenshot button in the prompt bar. 3) It stays on "Capturing" with no result.
