iOS conversations reopen at the top instead of the latest messages

Resuming or reopening an existing conversation in the iOS app places the view at the oldest message. I must manually scroll to the bottom every time, making long conversations difficult to continue.

Expected: Open resumed conversations at the latest messages so I can immediately continue chatting.

Expected behavior

Resuming or reopening an existing conversation shows the latest messages, allowing the user to immediately continue chatting.

Actual behavior

The conversation opens at the oldest message, requiring a manual scroll to the bottom every time.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open an existing conversation with enough messages to scroll.
  2. Leave or close the conversation.
  3. Reopen or resume it in the iOS app.
  4. Observe that it opens at the top instead of the latest messages.

This will be fixed in the next version of the mobile app: while a long conversation was loading, the app mistook its own jump to the latest message for you scrolling up, so it stopped following the bottom and stayed near the top. If it still happens after the update, please reopen this ticket with a screenshot or a short video.
