The title shown on an agent's tab in the sidebar and the sessionTitle returned by agents_list_live for the same agent id do not agree after the agent's console is restarted or resumed on a new conversation. The sidebar picks up the title the new conversation writes in its session file, while agents_list_live returns the previous value or no sessionTitle at all. The gap lasts as long as the new conversation ends its turns waiting on the user (needsInput: true), which can be a long time. A coordinator agent working from the directory therefore cannot find the tab the user names, and the user sees names the agents never use.
Observed 2026-10-21, desktop, Claude Code agent in a security role: sidebar showed "Restart restoration security review"; agents_list_live({compact:true}) listed the same agent id with no sessionTitle. The user named the tab; the coordinator agent could not match it and had to ask which agent it was.
Suggestion: return on agents_list_live exactly the title the sidebar displays, or expose both (sessionTitle as displayed and the latest title from the session file), so users and agents can name tabs identically. Today the agent name plus id suffix is the only stable key.

After a restart/resume the sidebar is renamed but sessionTitle stays empty or stale; the mismatch persists while the agent waits on input.
Steps to reproduce
(1) An agent with a titled conversation is restarted (header Restart) or resumed on a new conversation. (2) Its first turn ends with needsInput: true and a new title in its session file. (3) Compare the tab label in the sidebar with agents_list_live for that agent id.
