Ticket detail/edit modal stays a narrow centered column on large screens, cramping description and comments

From Pedro FigueiraDone 1 day ago

On a large desktop display the ticket modal (both the detail view and the "Editar tarefa" edit view) renders as a fixed, narrow centered column using only a small fraction of the viewport width. On a 2560x1440 screen most of the horizontal space is empty margin on either side.

Because the modal width is fixed, the two panels that hold the most text — the ticket description/prompt and the Comments thread — are squeezed into small boxes. Reading or editing a long description, or following a comments thread, means scrolling inside tiny inner scroll areas instead of reading the content the wide screen could show at a glance.

How observed: screenshot of the edit modal open on a 2560x1440 monitor (read-only, no app changes).

What would help, in order:

  1. Let the modal grow with the viewport up to a larger max-width on wide breakpoints, so large screens use the space they have.
  2. Give the description and comments areas more height/width within the modal, reducing inner scrolling.
  3. Optionally, a two-column layout on wide viewports (fields on one side, description + comments on the other).

Problem to solve

On large monitors the ticket modal is locked to a narrow centered column; most of the screen width is empty while the description and the comments thread are confined to small boxes that need constant inner scrolling to read.

Proposed behavior

Make the ticket modal width responsive up to a larger max-width on wide viewports, and let the description and comments panels expand to use it; optionally a two-column layout (fields | description + comments) above a wide breakpoint.

Who benefits

Users on large/high-resolution desktop displays who read and edit tickets with long descriptions and long comment threads.

Acceptance criteria

The modal uses the available horizontal space on large screens; long descriptions and comment threads are readable without cramped inner scrolling.

This will be available in the next version. On large screens the ticket window now grows with the available width (much wider on big monitors), and the description and comments areas get noticeably more height, so long texts and threads need far less inner scrolling. If it is not quite what you had in mind (for example you would like the two-column layout), tell us and we will adjust.
