Auto-derive an agent's initial prompt from a ticket ID in its name
From Arthur DelightDone 1 month ago
User wants a way to have a newly spawned agent automatically start working on a ticket referenced by its own name, without having to type an initial prompt by hand. They already built a Skills Library skill ("linear-ticket-intake") set as this project's baseline, with a trigger meant to fire when the agent is "handed a Linear ticket number and asked to start work on it." It doesn't fire because the agent's display name is never surfaced as conversation content, and skills only activate against something actually said in the chat, not against agent metadata.
Problem to solve
Spawning a new agent named after a Linear ticket (e.g. an ID like ARD-221) requires manually typing a first message telling the agent to go work on that ticket, even though a Skills Library skill already exists to fetch and start on a ticket once told its id.
Proposed behavior
When an agent's name matches a recognizable ticket pattern (e.g. a Linear ticket key), automatically submit that as the agent's initial prompt so the agent starts working on it immediately, without the user needing to type anything.
